Days of Our Lives veteran and beloved actress, Deidre Hall is celebrating her 46th anniversary as Dr. Marlena Evans.

Her character, Marlena was first introduced on June 21, 1976, as a guest character. She was hired as a psychiatrist for Mickey Horton (John Clarke). She was intertwined with the Hortons and had more of a presence to stick around hence she was placed on contract.

Today, Marlena’s best love story has been Mr. John Black (played by Drake Hogestyn). She has also been paired with Don Craig, Roman Brady, Alex North and Eugene Bradford. Hall has received three Daytime Emmy nominations for her portrayal of Marlena Evans in 1980, 1984 and 1985 in the categories of Outstanding Lead Actress and Outstanding Supporting Actress.
