Jess Walton, a fantastic actress is celebrating 35 years in the role of Jill Abbott Atkinson on The Young and the Restless.
Walton made her debut on June 22, 1987. She took over the role from Brenda Dickson. Walton came to Y&R after her run as Kelly Harper on Capitol from 1985 – 1987. She has been a part of Y&R ever since and has received several Daytime Emmy Award nominations for her outstanding portrayal of the role. Walton was nominated as Outstanding Supporting Actress in a drama series in 1990 and 1991. She won the award in 1991. She was again nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in 1996, 1997, 2000 and 2017. Through many relationships, her feud with Katherine Chancellor (played by the late Jeanne Cooper), her paternal discovery and illnesses – Walton has delivered outstanding work through the years.
