It was in last year that Thorsten Kaye (Ridge Forrester) revealed that he was set to take a break from The Bold and the Beautiful in the near future. In an interview with the Belgian HLN outlet he revealed, “I have already agreed with my boss [B&B executive producer Brad Bell] that next year or the year after that he should write me out of the story for a few months.” Since stepping into the role of Ridge, taking over from Ronn Moss in 2013, Kaye has been flying back and forth from his home on the East coast to the studios where the show is filmed in Los Angeles. He revealed that he promised his wife, Susan Haskell (ex-Marty Saybrooke, One Life to Live) and their two daughters that they will be taking a small world trip as soon as possible. He also noted that he and his family are “really looking forward” to the vacation that will likely include a stop in the actor’s birthplace of Frankfurt, Germany. The break was scheduled for this year (2022) or next year (2023).

No update has been made since then but please stay tuned for updates.
