On last Friday’s The Young and the Restless, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) had to break the news to his son, Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez) that the father who raised him, Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) had passed away.

Fans have often wondered how young children on set like Enriquez handle such intense scenes and how much they comprehend what exactly is going on. Most, often wonders how child actors tell the difference between real and reel.

One of Enriquez’s parents shared the answers to such questions on an Instagram story recently. They shared a screenshot of Kyle telling Harrison about Ashland with the following caption, “FYI they pulled the “father died” part & voiced over. lots of ppl ask how Kellen handles these intense scenes…we’ve just always explained how tv isn’t real- all of this is fake, too. Bc shea & I are separated, we’ve talked about the impact of his role as a “love child” but truthfully, Kellen has fun on set & doesn’t understand much of his storyline. Just that he gets high fives & treats most of the day”.

Sounds like Enriquez has a great time on set and we love him as Harrison!
