Just as EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) and Belle (Martha Madison) are about to head upstairs and make love on Days of Our Lives, there comes Sami (Alison Sweeney) with a major request. She wants a divorce so she can get married to Lucas (Bryan Dattilo) who proposes to her. Of course, EJ’s heart is shattered especially because he is so convinced that Lucas was the one who actually kidnapped Sami and framed him for it. He tries his best to persuade Sami to believe him but she refuses to so he signs the papers and gives Sami what she wants. After she leaves, Belle begins to worry that EJ may only be pursuing her to get back at Sami and EJ wonders if she is doing it to get back at Shawn (Brandon Beemer). After a sweet confession is made, the two finally decide to make love. What will Shawn have to say about it when he learns what Belle has done?
