Professional wrestling legend Terry Funk passed away Wednesday as announced by his dear friend Ric Flair.

Terry Funk’s Hall of Fame career began in 1975 and took him all over the world performing a brutal style of wrestling that had never been before seen by American wrestling fans.
“I’ve Never Met A Guy Who Worked Harder. Terry Funk Was A Great Wrestler, Entertainer, Unbelievably Fearless, And A Great Friend!” Ric Flair said of his dear friend.
Funk’s former WWE tag team partner Mick Foley shared this sentiment, “RIP my dear friend – it was an honor to know you.”
Terry Funk wrestled for every company imaginable all over the world. While the WWE might be the pinnacle for many wrestler’s careers, it was Terry Funk that helped put ECW on the map in the mid-90’s. The Hardcore Heaven of Extreme Championship Wrestling was a perfect fit for the wrestler from the Double Cross Ranch. His legendary career took him all over the world as the NWA Champion.
Funk won championships with his brother and tag partner Dory, and attempted to retire several times but was unable to ever truly stop performing for his legion of fans worldwide.
