The role of Alexander Kiriakis was played by Jonathan Thornton from 1989 – 1991 on Days of Our Lives. Now, that the character is back and being played by Robert Scott Wilson, we thought it would be a good time to give you a little character history.
Alexander was conceived during a brief affair between Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth) and Anjelica Deveraux (then played by Jane Elliot). This affair happened when Justin’s marriage to Adrienne (Judi Evans) was on the rocks. Alexander was initially thought to be Harper Deveraux’s (Joseph Campanella) son before Anjelica learned of Harper’s inability to father a child as he was sterile. Anjelica lied to Justin about the paternity of Alex but Victor (John Aniston) found out the truth. Victor wanted to marry her in hopes of having a son to carry on his legacy. Anjelica refused and married Neil Curtis (Ben Archibek) instead. It was Neil’s plan to adopt Alexander as his son but it did not work out when Anjelica realized that she still had a chance with Justin and told him the truth about Alex’s paternity.
Alexander and Anjelica were thought to be dead in a plane crash however this wasn’t the case as he reunited with his father in 1991 when Johnny Corelli (Antony Alda) found him and Anjelica. They soon took Alexander to Dallas, Texas, with his adopted twin brothers Joseph and Victor. Soon after they arrived in Texas, Adrienne gave birth to his younger half-brother, Jackson. Although it didn’t happen on-screen, Alexander returned to Salem in 2007 with his parents and brothers. Along with his siblings, he attended Salem High School. His time in town was short-lived, however, and by January 2008 the entire family moved again – this time to Dubai.
