The Young and the Restless actor, Christian LeBlanc (Michael Baldwin) will continue to portray Big Daddy Pollitt in the play Cat on a Hat Tin Roof (by Tennessee Williams) which debuted in 1955. LeBlanc first started playing the role in January 2022. He heads back to the Theatres ass Ruth Stage presents the play from July 15 – August 14, 2022. It is directed by Joe Rosario. Alison Fraser, Matt de Rogatis, Tiffan Borelli, Sinoya Mizuno and Carly Gold all play roles.
Big Daddy is a larger-than-life character who is a wealthy plantation owner. He confronts some painful truths with his son Brick and finds out he is dying of cancer. Burl Ives had the role of Big Daddy in the play and also the 1958 movie which starred Paul Newman and Elizabeth Taylor. In 1974 Fred Gwynn played the strong-willed family patriarch when the play was back on broadway.
