It is with great sadness that we share the news of Billy Miller’s passing. The talented actor, known for his roles as Drew Cain on General Hospital and Billy Abbot on The Young and the Restless, passed away on September 15th at the age of 43. The news was first confirmed by Michael Fairman TV. Miller would have celebrated his 44th birthday today.
Born on September 17, 1979, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Billy Miller grew up in Grand Prairie, Texas. He earned a degree in communications from the University of Texas in Austin before moving to Los Angeles to pursue his acting career. His first big break came in modeling, and he later appeared in an episode of CSI: NY before landing the role of Richie Novak on All My Children.
After leaving All My Children, Billy Miller went on to portray Billy Abbot on The Young and the Restless where he won three Daytime Emmys for his performance. He then joined the cast of General Hospital as a recast of Jason Morgan, and later his version of Jason was revealed to be, Drew Cain. Billy Miller left the daytime world in 2019 to pursue other acting opportunities.
Billy Miller was a treasured member of the daytime television community, and his passing is a great loss. Our thoughts and condolences go out to his family, friends, and countless fans during this difficult time.
