David A. Arnold has passed away suddenly at the age of 54 on September 7. Arnold was an actor, comedian, writer, director and producer. The Arnold family released a statement saying, “It is with great sadness that we confirm the untimely passing of our husband, father, brother and friend, David A. Arnold. David passed away peacefully today in his home and doctors have ruled the cause of death due to natural causes. Please keep our family in prayer and respect our privacy at this time, as we are all shocked and devastated by this loss.

Arnold played the role of Darnelle on Tyler Perry’s Meet the Browns for which he was also a writer. Arnold served as a producer and writer for Fuller House Bigger and more. He also penned episodes for Tyler Perry’s House of Payne. Survivors include his wife, Julie L. Harkness, and two children, Anna-Grace and Ashlyn.
