We are saddened to hear of the passing of Irish Grinstead, a member of the 702 group. Her sister, Lemisha shared the news of her passing saying, “It is with great sadness that I have to let you know that my beautiful sister and friend has passed away this evening. She has had a long battle and she is finally at peace. That girl was as bright as the stars! She was not only beautiful on the outside, but also within. Sharing the stage with her was a joy I will cherish for the rest of my life! We, the family ask for prayers and respect for our privacy as we grieve an outstanding loss to our family. 702 named after the area code of their hometown of Las Vegas, Nevada, is an American girl group, with the final and most known line-up consisting of Kameelah Williams, LeMisha Grinstead and previously Irish Grinstead, until her death on September 16, 2023. Original member Orish Grinstead, twin sister of Irish, died on April 20, 2008, from kidney failure at the age of 27.
