Soap actor, Greg Rikaat who is pulling double duty as Leo Stark on Days of Our Lives and Kevin Fisher on The Young and the Restless made a dire prediction about network television in an interview with Michael Fairman. Rikaart revealed that he has a friend who is a lawyer at NBC Universal and knew the transition from NBC to Peacock was coming but couldn’t say anything until the announcement was made.

When he consulted with his friend to find out of it was good news or bad news, his friend said, “‘It’s good news,” adding, “Network television is dying. It’s ultimately going to be all sports and news.’” Rikaart noted, “They could have cancelled the show. but I think they see the value of the show, as evidenced by Beyond Salem. It certainly beats the alternative of not being around.”

  1. Anyone saying this needs to shut up, they are the reason why it’s going in that direction. But I really think it’s just the soaps that the higher ups want to get rid of & it’s ridiculous!
