Rumors are always swirling about big names coming or going on one soap opera or another but today one of those big names took the time to address her status with the show after a fan posed the question to her.

The fan asked Laura Wright, who plays Carly Spencer on General Hospital if she was leaving GH and Laura responded with this comment, “No I’m not leaving- not sure why people keep spreading rumors. Ha.”

Wright has played Carly for 17 years and received 7 Daytime Emmy nominations for the role, winning Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series in 2011.
