General Hospital alum Rick Springfield who played Noah Drake did an interview with L.A. Stories. In his interview, he spoke about his suicide attempt at the age of 16, his severe depression, his love for music and much more. Springfield spoke about constantly moving and changing schools as a child
He shared, “I said, ‘OK, I’m being saved for something. I may as well just go for the guitar thing, the music thing,” in regards to his music. He also talks about his hit single Jessie’ Girl and the true story behind it. He also said, “I want to prove that I’m not the jerk the depression tells me I am and then let people know that it’s OK, that you can still have a successful life and deal with it. It doesn’t have to take you down.”
