The premiere date for American Horror Story: Delicate was announced this week. Quickly behind that a four-episode special event exclusive to Hulu was revealed for the annual Huluween programming block.
The 12th season of the powerhouse anthology horror series created by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuck premieres on FX September 20, 2023. New episodes will be available on Hulu the following day.
American Horror Story: Delicate is based on Danielle Valentineās novel Delicate Condition which was released in August of this year. Originally, the premiere of the new season was meant to coincide with the release of the novel, but the ongoing strikes in Hollywood delayed production.
Earlier this year Executive Producer Ryan Murphy revealed that Kim Kardashian had been cast in a prominent role for AHS: Delicate, citing his enjoyment at her hosting of Saturday Night Live in October of 2021. It may have been considered a controversial move by some, but with the premiere of the new season right around the corner the promise of a fresh lead has Horror Story fans excited for new directions the series could take.
The season will also star series veterans Emma Roberts and Zachary Quinto. Joining the anthology series for the first time will be Matt Czuchry (The Resident), Michaela JaƩ Rodriguez (Loot, Pose), and actor/model Cara Delevingne.
For the Huluween event, the only detail known at this time is that Lisa Rinna (Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Days of Our Lives) will take the lead as the central character for the American Horror Stories premiere episode entitled āTapeworm.ā
